9ice Drops Double Album
Earlier in the week, popular singer, Abolore Akande, who is widely referred to as 9ice, surprised music lovers and fans when he released two albums same day. The albums, ‘Bashorun Gaa’ and ‘Vs,’ have been long awaited by music enthusiasts as well as fans of the father of three, who is said to be so happy to release the albums.
Further investigation showed that the albums, which were scheduled for release earlier in the year, have undergone an unusual scrutiny by 9ice’s producer as well as the Alapomeji management before its release earlier in the week.
While ‘Vs’ which originally means ‘Versus’ is a 10 track album comprising of 9ice’s duets with several Nigerian music acts, ‘Bashorun Gaa’ is said to be a 13 track album that further re-affirms 9ice’s supremacy as an indigenous African act with rich knowledge of the Yoruba language.
The album was released under the 9ice owned Alapomeji Records. 
Goldie Releases Sophomore Album

For the release of her much talked about sophomore album, which has been titled ‘Gold Reloaded,’ Suzan Harvey, who is well known as Goldie, has picked December 12, 2011. This would be coming few days after the launch of Jaywon’s second album.
Speaking with SBF, the talented singer said the sophomore album would further reveal her immense talent as well as her passion for protecting and fighting for the female gender.
Goldie, who is also embarking on a ‘Don’t Touch My Body’ campaign that would see her preaching zero tolerance to all forms of female abuse, maintained that her second album is the redefinition of the talented entertainer who is widely known as Goldie.
“I’m embarking on the Don’t Touch My Body campaign and these would see me talking to several girls from some selected secondary schools. The ones we reach would preach the gospel to others. And in that Christmas spirit, my sophomore album would debut from December 12 and I’m so glad about this whole development,” Goldie said.
J-Martins Eyes the Altar
If the gist filtering in is anything to go by, talented producer cum singer, Joshua Kalu Okwun, who is well known as J-Martins, might be joining the list of married entertainers in Nigeria. The dark skinned singer, who is said to be having a good time with his heartthrob of many years, Nnazi, is said to be contemplating formalising his union with the Abuja based lady.
While the man had remained silent on the issue, he has continued working endlessly with African acts, mostly from Francophone countries. Those close to J-Martins revealed that plans are in top gear for the wedding that has been slated to take place before the end of the first quarter of 2012.

Only few people would claim not be aware of the rise in deaths in the Nigerian entertainment industry, most especially the movie world. Thus, it didn’t come as a surprise when some thespians gathered at the Ojez Restaurant during the week for what was tagged the Nollywood Night of Praise and Prayers.
The event which had the theme, ‘Enough of the candle light processions, let’s celebrate ourselves in God’s presence,’ had several up and coming acts in attendance as well as other practitioners in the industry.
The gist is that most of these people attended the session as a result of fear of death that seems to be tearing the industry apart. At the moment, veteran actor, Enebeli Elebuwa, is down with stroke and so in need of financial assistance. Many have engaged in prayer sessions for him to survive the attack.

Sources who should know hinted that one of the dearest things to Funke Akindele’s heart at the moment is her drama school, Scene 1 School of Drama. Sources noted that the school, which has gotten students and is currently tutoring young make-believe stars, has been one of Funke’s greatest aspirations.
So, it came as no surprise when the school berthed. Though the actress is also said to be canvassing for more students, she boasts of running one of the best drama schools around. While she is associated with spending a lot on her movies, Funke, is also said to have invested heavily in other things aside entertainment.

But with the recent activities of a fraudster, who has been lobbying unsuspecting thespians via a popular social networking medium, Nonso and friends have been brought to public glare.
Nonso, whose private life has been smartly kept out of the media for reasons best known to him, was made to deny the gestures and activities of the fraudster, who has been luring unsuspecting and innocent thespians to pay some money into an account to get auditioned and also a role in a yet to be shot flick.
The young and talented actor denied the tale and implored friends, colleagues and fans to shun such broadcast message or fraudster, who might be impersonating him to extort money from young and upcoming thespians.
K-Solo Weds Secretly

One of Nigeria’s ace music producers cum singer, K-Solomon, who is known as K-Solo, recently tied the nuptial knot with Christiana, his heartthrob of many years.
K-Solo, who performed the marriage rites secretly on November 24, has been living together with Christy for some months before the lovebirds decided to formalise their union.
The two have not only kept their union from the prying eyes of the public, they have also left the celebrity radar, just to begin raising a family. The newlyweds have been living quietly without notice at their Ogba, Lagos home even after the hubby, K-Solo’s unsuccessful album.
Side One Goes Bad

After relishing the fame that came along with his hit track with Terry G, singer, Oluwatosin Anifowoshe Johnson, popularly known as Side One, has returned with a new single entitled ‘Toh Bad.’
Though the song is yet to hit local radio stations, it is currently one of the most listened to on social network sites on the internet. Side One, who is currently in the United Kingdom promoting the song, disclosed that the acceptance had equally been laudable on the foreign scene.
"Honestly, I didn't expect the acceptance to be this massive here within a very short period. I thank God and my fans for making it real," Side One said. This indigene of Ekiti State is expected back in Nigeria in two weeks time to officially launch the single on Nigerian airwaves.
